Projects
School projects, rushes and personal projects, sorted into three families.
Low-level & embedded
Where I am heading: understanding what happens under the hood.

MEP Projects
Embedded exercises on ESP32
MEP stands for “Mega Embedded Project”: a series of small projects to learn embedded development, ESP32 boards and building circuits around a microcontroller.
For each exercise, I write the program in C with ESP-IDF, build the circuit and draw its schematic. Some exercises are also done without a framework, to understand what happens underneath.
One repository per exercise. I have only just started: so far, a blinking LED.

Brainfxcker
Brainfuck to x86-64 compiler
A compiler that turns a Brainfuck program into an executable binary. The program is parsed, translated to x86-64 assembly (NASM, Intel syntax, elf64 format), then linked with ld.
The goal: understand how assembly works at its core, and learn new concepts along the way.

Libasm
libc functions in assembly
Rewriting some libc functions in assembly: my first steps into this fantastic world.
I added a unit-testing framework in C to test my functions end to end, and followed a TDD (Test Driven Development) approach.

Hotrace
A C hashmap, sped up with SIMD
Rebuilding a hashmap in C under time-complexity constraints. Some tasks are optimised with inline ASM, using SIMD to process several values in a single operation.

Philosophers
Threads, mutexes and data races
A solution to the dining philosophers problem, using multi-threading. I learned about mutexes, data races and sharing resources between threads in C.

Libunit
A unit-testing framework in C
A unit-testing framework for C, written in C. Each test runs in a child process, which meant catching signals and checking return values.

Systems, network & algorithms
Shells, servers, containers: the building blocks of a running system.
Mar 2025 – May 2025
Minishell
A POSIX Bash replica
A replica of POSIX Bash, strictly following its syntax, execution, redirections, permissions and environment variable handling.
We even added a few themes to customise the prompt.

Webserv
An Nginx-like HTTP server
An HTTP server modelled on how Nginx basically works: full parsing of its configuration, HTTP requests, index files, connections, CGI, and extras such as custom error pages.

- Low-level
- Network
- Object-oriented programming

Inception
Docker infra with home-made monitoring
The Common Core DevOps project I enjoyed the most: Docker containers that each run one service (WordPress, MariaDB, Nginx…) and talk to each other.
As a bonus, Grafana / Prometheus monitoring, with exporters hand-written in Go for each service.

SpinUp
A web stack in one command
A command-line tool that creates web stacks and applications in a single command, from a static configuration: it clones the chosen stacks and sets them up.
Started as a way to learn Go.

Cub3D
A raycaster in C
A raycaster that renders a parsed map in “fake” 3D. We added a minimap, an animated sprite, mouse support, interactive doors and proper collision handling.

CPP Module 09
Ford-Johnson sort and a visualiser
A module of the C++ piscine, which I enjoyed for its mathematical side, especially the Ford-Johnson algorithm.
I added a visualiser to analyse the results and play with the program’s parameters.

Web, games & communities
Where it all started, and what taught me to run a project.

Hiruma
An RPG inside Discord
A role-playing game inside Discord, with a full-stack web application. My first real large-scale project: it taught me to develop, test and deploy web applications on my own.
Its original universe is built with volunteers and a whole bunch of people who believe in the project.

Transcendence
Online Onitama, as a team
The last project of 42’s Common Core. Ours is a web adaptation of the board game Onitama: AI, matchmaking, profiles, friends, chat, 2FA and GDPR-related features, in a universe of our own.
A real test of teamwork, where coordination and communication were key. I worked on parts of the back-end and the DevOps.

ObanaiBot
My first community project
A Discord bot with a game set in the Demon Slayer universe: my first real community project, and my first steps in server-side JavaScript.
I stopped it to free up time in high school, but I enjoyed it so much that I have kept building this kind of project ever since.
